Upon entry into Switzerland, you are then required to register with the local authorities within 10 days from your arrival. The immigration control office of the City of Lucerne (Stadt Luzern - Einwohnerdienste) is located at Obergrundstrasse 1, 6002 Luzern, phone: 041 208 8356 fax: 041 208 8360, opening hours Mon to Fri 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thu until 6:30 p.m.

You will need a valid passport, one or two (according to the official site, one) passport-size photograph(s), confirmation of enrolment from the University of Lucerne, and your visa if required.
